Mr Vikram Balakrishnan is a fully qualified colorectal surgeon. Vikram gained acceptance into the prestigious University of Melbourne medical school and spent his clinical years at St Vincent’s Hospital. In total Vikram has undertaken more than 10 years of specialist surgical training through St Vincent’s, St George and Box Hill Hospital where he is currently appointed. He underwent specialist colorectal training through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).

Vikram is highly skilled in all aspects of colorectal surgery. He provides a comprehensive cancer service with expertise in minimally invasive techniques, therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy, anorectal disease and inflammatory bowel disease.

Vikram has an excellent reputation amongst his peers and patients, a result of his patient centric approach to his clinical colorectal practice.

Vikram sees all patients, both private and uninsured, and looks to maintain long-term collaboration relationships with his colleagues and patients.
